With Coghill’s departure towards the end of 1906, Arthur Stephenson – now an ordained Congregational minister – stepped into the helm again as headmaster for the final term of 1906. With no ambition to return to the top job, he managed to persuade his brother Stuart to return from New Zealand and take on the role of headmaster for 1907.
