To celebrate Kingswood College’s 135th anniversary we are delighted to offer the following scholarships to students entering Years 3 – 11 in 2026.

  • Academic Scholarship
  • Choral Scholarship
  • Instrumental Scholarship
  • Visual Arts Scholarship
  • Young Women Leaders Scholarship

New and current Kingswood College students are welcome to apply for the Academic, Choral, Instrumental and Visual Arts Scholarships. The Young Women Leaders Scholarship is available only to students who will be new to Kingswood College in 2026. Applicants must be Australian citizen or permanent residents.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP - Years 3 to 11 2026

Academic Scholarships are available for new and current students commencing in Years 3 to 11 in 2026.

Academic scholarships are awarded on the basis of the academic performance of the applicant in the scholarship examination, to be held on Saturday 22 February 2025.

  • Applicants are also assessed on their submitted portfolio.
  • Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by the Principal.

These scholarships are awarded at the Principal’s discretion and offer a part tuition fee remission for the duration of the student’s education at the College.

In addition to the online application, information as outlined below must be uploaded during the registration process

  • A copy of the student’s birth certificate;
  • Evidence of Australian citizenship or permanent residency (if the applicant or the applicant’s parents were not born in Australia);
  • A copy of the student’s two most recent school report;
  • A copy of the student’s NAPLAN reports (if applicable)
  • Copies of any awards for academic achievement.

Must be a Year 2 – 10 student in 2025

Applicants’ can be a current or new Kingswood College student

Successful applicants will also be required to submit an application for enrolment to the College ($115 application fee) and pay the enrolment deposit ($1,500) to accept a Scholarship.

CHORAL SCHOLARSHIP - Years 5 to 11 2026

Choral Scholarships are available for new and current students commencing Years 5 – 11 in 2026.

Choral scholarships are designed for students who have significant experience singing in choirs, either within their current schools or externally.  Students should possess experience of singing in high-level performance choirs and demonstrate:

  • commitment to and enthusiasm for choral performance;
  • an understanding of the choral rehearsal process;
  • knowledge of appropriate choral technique; and
  • established sight-reading skills.

Applicants for this scholarship will be asked to attend an audition which will involve:

  • performing their respective part of two choral works, accompanied by a recording of a full choir singing the chosen work;
  • demonstrating their sight-reading capacity; and
  • participating in a short interview.

Successful applicants will be required to participate fully in the College’s Choral Program, as well as adopting leadership positions within the Kingswood choirs when requested.

Choral scholarships are awarded on the basis of an applicant’s submitted portfolio, an audition and interview.

These scholarships are awarded at the Principal’s discretion and offer a part tuition fee remission for the duration of the student’s secondary education.

INSTRUMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP (INCLUDES VOICE) - Years 5 to 11 2026

Instrumental Scholarships are available for new and current students commencing Year 5 – 11 in 2026.

Instrumental scholarships are awarded on the basis of an applicant’s audition and interview.

Minimum AMEB level for eligibility:

  • Brass – AMEB Grade 3
  • Percussion – AMEB Grade 4 (or equivalent)
  • Piano – AMEB Grade 5
  • Strings (including guitar and harp) – AMEB Grade 5
  • Voice – AMEB Grade 4 (or equivalent. Note: students studying both classical and contemporary voice are welcome to apply
  • Woodwind – AMEB Grade 3 (or equivalent)

Applicants are also assessed on their submitted portfolio.

These scholarships are awarded at the Principal’s discretion and offer a part tuition fee remission for the duration of the student’s secondary education.

Scholarship applicants will be required to attend an audition with the Head of Music. Applicants will be sent additional information regarding audition times.

Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their audition.

Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by the Principal.

VISUAL ARTS SCHOLARSHIP - Years 7 to 11 2026

Visual Art Scholarships are available for new and current students commencing Year 7 – 11 in 2026.

Students must have strong skills in the Visual Arts and a desire to lead and inspire others in this area. Applicants must have a folio of work they can present at interview.

Folio of work can include:

  • Art created during school years
  • Drawing, painting and sculptural artwork produced at home or in private art class
  • Sketchbooks of student illustrations
  • Photographs of student’s artwork
  • Other creative visual solutions

Applicants will be required to attend an interview with the Head of Art. Applicants will be sent information regarding the interview.  At the interview applicants will be asked questions about the kinds of artistic projects they have been involved in and their preferred styles and artistic mediums.

  • A copy of the student’s birth certificate;
  • Evidence of Australian citizenship or permanent residency (if the applicant or the applicant’s parents were not born in Australia);
  • A copy of the student’s two most recent school report;
  • A copy of the student’s most recent NAPLAN results.

Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by the Principal.

YOUNG WOMEN LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP - Years 7 to 11 2026

Young Women Leaders Scholarships are available for female students who will commence at Kingswood in Years 7 – 11 in 2026.

The Young Women Leaders Scholarships are awarded on the basis of an applicant’s submitted portfolio and interview with the Principal.

These scholarships are awarded at the Principal’s discretion and offer a part tuition fee remission for the duration of the student’s secondary education.

In addition to the online application, information as outlined below must be uploaded during the registration process.

  • A copy of the student’s birth certificate;
  • Evidence of Australian citizenship or permanent residency (if the applicant or the applicant’s parents were not born in Australia);
  • A copy of the student’s two most recent school report;
  • A copy of the student’s most recent NAPLAN results;
  • Copies of any awards/recognition for community contribution or leadership achievement.

Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

Must be a female student

Must be a Year 6 – 10 student in 2025

Applicants must be new to Kingswood College in 2026. Not available to current Kingswood College students.
